Build an Underwater Jetpack Suit

This experimental underwater suit can help you swim faster, almost glide through the water without having to use much of your strength. This futuristic device seems to pop out of a marvel movie and will definitely make you feel as a superhuman.

Step 1

For the first step you need to get your hands on a polycase waterproof plastic enclosure box, plastic enclosures are designed in such a way that they specialize in housing and protecting electrical components and can be used for different applications, this enclosures provide a safety zone for your electronics especially if placed in an environment that is harsh and could damage the electronics. This will act as an underwater seal for the batteries. 

You need to draw two vertical lines that are at an appropriate distance from each other then with the help of a marker trace two dots at equal distance on the vertical line, do the same on the other like, the dots should be parallel to each other

Next you will have to drill four holes on the enclosure box, the holes drilled should be on the markings made and should be big enough to fit the cable. 

Step 2

Next up you will need some trailer cables. You will need to cut the cable at an appropriate length and then separate the wires into two halves and attach the wires to bullet connectors. You can do this by soldering the wires to the connectors  This this for a couple more cable wires, these wires will pass through the holes made in the box. 

Step 3

You will now need to take out the PCB prototype board, a prototype circuit board is essential during the designing process of the electrical device. They have conductive tracks to connect different components and have a much lower manufacturing cost than most traditional circuit boards in the market, they also help in reducing the cost and time it would take to normally construct anything, they have effective ability to test out different components individually, actuate prototypes and much more.   

 You need to cut the board and solder the jumper wires to it, you can then use a glue gun over the soldered wires. 

Step 4

You will then have to pass through the cable wires through both the enclosure boxes. Next you will need the thruster case, measure the diameter as you will have to 3D print the element that will connect the thruster to your arms and legs. You will then have to connect the motor to the propeller. 

Step 5

You will need a plexiglass sheet, place the enclosure box under the sheet and then outline it to the shape of the box. You will need to drill a total of 8 holes so that the box can be fixed onto it. Once you are done with that you can close the lid of the enclosure box and fix the plexiglass sheet under it. You can fit it with the help of some screws. 

Step 6

Attach the thrusters to the 3D printed attachment, and use some buckled straps so that it can be comfortably attached to your body. Turn it on to see if it is working and you are good to go.
